Job Brief

If you gush at the thought of working with sound recordings and if editing audio content gives you a warm and fuzzy, then this may be the role for you. We are looking for a Remote Podcast Editor who has an interest in entertainment to help us launch our podcast YouTube channel. You should have a strong grasp of audio production and strategies, and be able to handle all aspects of project production from concept to execution. Although we appreciate ambitious beginners, we are only seeking experienced persons for this particular role.

Responsibilities

  • Working on all aspects of the audio production
  • Experience in mixing and mastering audio for post-production
  • Experience in working with different publishing tools and CMS
  • Experience with Zoom, Google Meets, and other virtual meeting platforms
  • Proficiency with studio and field recording equipment and hardware
  • Experience with DSLR cameras, Sony and Canon
  • Proficient in editing software Final cut Pro X or Premiere Pro
  • Experience with Lightroom or Photoshop/Indesign for thumbnails and stills
  • Communicate with creative team members as needed
  • Knowledge of sound recording and ability to troubleshoot in studio and field environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and a track record of turning around audio on a tight deadline

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in related field (preferred)
  • Proven working experience in podcast editor or equivalent role
  • Demonstrable experience with organization, time-management, and working with teams
  • Highly creative with experience in audio mixing and sound creativity
  • Experience troubleshooting general digital snafus
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Pro X, PhotoShop)
  • Experience with handling recording equipment
  • Strong analytical skills, data-driven thinking, and deadline-driven
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in podcast editorial management
  • A positive, can-do attitude
