Volunteers at the UCSD COVID-19 Business Outreach Project are diligently working to provide small businesses and their employees with information and guidelines to protect themselves from COVID-19 in the workplace and in the community.
We especially want to reach out to businesses who are less likely to have access to (or are marginalized from) small business resources - this can include language or cultural barriers, business size and type. We are also reaching out to areas of San Diego County that have been hardest hit by COVID-19.
We are constantly searching for new volunteers as we expand our much needed outreach efforts in the community.
Volunteering Opportunities Include:
- Conducting in-person outreach visits to local businesses
- Outreach visits over the phone (remote volunteer opportunity)
- Researching and development of information for businesses during the constantly evolving COVID-19 situation
- Development of new outreach tools / quality improvement of our project - for example, video production, development of culture-specific content, etc.
- Other volunteering positions
You will be working with a small core leadership team and volunteers have opportunity to get more involved!
