Writing & Communications Volunteer
Position Summary: The Writing & Communications Volunteer will be joining our team in helping us achieve our virtual outreach objectives. We are looking to grow in our social media reach, so we are open to new ideas. This individual will be responsible for developing various media content for different audiences. We are looking for an individual that has previous experience, or simply an interest in serving their community! Whether you bring entry- or mid-level expertise, we will work with you to see where you best fit! This is a volunteer opportunity and therefore unpaid. All work will be done remotely. Hours are completely flexible.
Potential Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of Advancement-related initiatives
- Develop & implement social media outreach plans for our social media platforms
- Create necessary visual media graphics via Canva
- Develop Quarterly Newsletters via Constant Contact
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Superior written and verbal skills
- Computer literate
- Individuals needs to have their own personal computer

Since its founding in 1984, Townspeople has embodied the notion that housing is health. Formed by a group of compassionate San Diegans in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, our organization provides access to affordable housing and supportive services for our community’s most vulnerable members including people living with HIV/AIDS and those experiencing homelessness.
