Celebration volunteers
Encompass Health- Hospice in Marshall County seeking individuals to provide support to hospice patients and families by helping to celebrate milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, and/or holidays. This opportunity is open to small groups of 3-5 people and youth volunteers. All volunteers must complete all training and trained parent and/or guardian must accompany youth volunteers. Volunteer commitment 2-4 hours each month and flexible to volunteer’s schedule.
NO medical experience needed, volunteers DO NOT perform "hands on" care. By being there, you will also give patients support through socialization and companionship. Volunteer commitment is flexible to volunteer’s schedule. Volunteers are welcome to provide assistance during the day, after hours, or on weekends. All training and orientation is provided free of charge by Encompass Hospice. The Volunteer Coordinator will mentor volunteers until they comfortable and confident to volunteer independently.
Direct Patient Support Volunteers must complete the application and orientation processes and be over the age of 14. All Jr. Volunteers ages 14 to 18 must complete all training, background screenings and trained parent and/or guardian must accompany Jr. Volunteers. Most of the orientation process can be completed online or via phone. Additionally reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and other requirements apply. Enhabit Health-Hospice seeks kind individuals to support patients and families during a most difficult time.

Our compassionate end-of-life care is provided in the patient’s home, whether that is a home address, nursing home, assisted living community, independent living community or other location. Our experienced team understands the complexity of issues and feelings that surround hospice care and end of life. Our care process is designed to maximize our patient’s quality of life and offer our patients and their love ones comfort, support and guidance when facing a terminal illness
