Volunteers with Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole language fluency are sought for remote service to students, families and educators with Somerville Public Schools. Serve in a remote classroom, as a volunteer interpreter or translator, or for extra individualized academic support. Minimum commitment of two hours per week for three months; prior experience working with immigrant families, ELL, and tutoring experience preferred. Some training required (provided by SPS staff) for some volunteer positions.

Do you have one hour per week to make a difference in a student's life? We are looking for motivated volunteers to help students reach their fullest potential. Please note that most opportunities are currently remote and require a computer or laptop, facility with remote learning platforms and remote learning environment, and reliable internet service.
