Somerville Public Schools

Serve and Inspire with Somerville Public Schools this Fall! Volunteers with Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole language fluency serve students, families and educators within the Somerville Public Schools and community. Serve in a classroom, as a volunteer interpreter or translator, or for extra one-to-one academic support. Minimum commitment of one hour per week. Prior experience working with immigrant and newcomer families, multi-lingual learners, and tutoring experience preferred. Some training required for some volunteer positions.

Community volunteers are matched with a student, educator or program by request for individual student or classroom support, family support, or other school-based needs.
