MFARS is looking for volunteers to help the local community. No experience is necessary and all training will be provided at no cost. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is available for free to all volunteers.
A common route for entry-level volunteers is to start as a Driver. Drivers are expected to drive in a safe and professional manner with due regard for the safety of the ambulance occupants, and everyone else on the road. This includes coming to a full stop at red lights and stop signs, obeying the directives of law enforcement as to vehicle positioning and maintaining a safety zone around the vehicle at all times (moving and stopped).
If you have EMS or healthcare experience (EMT, RN, etc) we would be interested in having you volunteer as an EMT, but "over qualified" drivers are always welcome.
Volunteers may also be eligible for a tuition waiver at a NJ community college. Contact us for more details.

MFARS will be the designated lead agency to provide emergency medical care and protect the lives of the population in the response area of MFARS. MFARS can also provide services in all of its mutual aid response areas. The services provided by MFARS will include, but not be limited to the following areas of expertise: Basic Life Support and Medical Aid of any kind up to the level of certification of its provider.
Description
The Morganville First Aid & Rescue Squad (MFARS) is the primary EMS response unit serving all of zip codes 07751 (Morganville), 07765 (Wickatunk), the northeast portion of 07726 including the Whittier Oaks West, Marlboro Greens and Prides Crossing Developments, and the northeast portion of 07746 including Rosemont Estates. The Marlboro and Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squads are the primary responders for other areas of our growing community although we occasionally cover one another. We also receive paramedic support from the Monmouth-Ocean Hospital Service Corporation and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Morganville First Aid was officially incorporated on July 13, 1952 by our 12 charter members. We had one ambulance, stationed at our original building. This building was built by our members across from what is now Skip’s Garage on Tennent Road.
We operate three modern, fully equipped ambulances and a fully equipped first responder vehicle. With fantastic support from the township mechanics, our vehicles have an inservice percentage above 97%! Each unit has its own identifier: 28-362, 28-363, 28-364 and 28-355.

- MFARS will provide all required driver and CPR training. Additional optional training is also available. If you would like to get your EMT certification we would put you through the course for free (normally +$1,500 course).
