Want to volunteer to help our heroes but don't quite feel comfortable entering a hospital to do it? You don't have to! We have the Office of Community Care located in the Glendale neighborhood that needs some administrative volunteers. We are looking for the following attributes:
Attention to detail
Consistent, reliable volunteer hours
Good customer service
Friends, mature, positive and service oriented
Good communication skills
Maintain confidentiality
Reliability, punctuality and accountability
Understands the VA's mission and is mission oriented
Basic computer skills
What will you be doing? You'll be aiding our staff by retrieving, printing, folding and stuffing envelopes with letters to our veterans. These letters are proving our veterans healthcare and need to be completed daily so we are looking for volunteers for each day of the week whether you come in once a week or more often.

Description
The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is a Joint Commission-accredited facility serving Veterans in eastern Colorado and parts of Kansas. The VA Medical Center is located in Denver, Colorado and the Community Based Outpatient Clinics are located in: Alamosa, Aurora, Golden, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, La Junta, and Lamar, CO. There are Primary Care Telehealth Outreach Clinics in Burlington and Salida, CO, an ambulatory surgical center at the Air Force Academy, a Community Living Center in Pueblo (40 beds), and along with the Department of Defense and Veteran Benefit Administration, an Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) Center at Fort Carson, CO.
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), part of the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), is home to the United States’ largest integrated health care system consisting of 152 medical centers, nearly 1,400 community-based outpatient clinics, community living centers, Vet Centers and Domiciliaries.
