Our members and supporters are men, women, and children in cities around the country who give their time and resources to support a world where women of all ages have access to education and employment opportunities, and sustainable livelihoods that enable them to live free of gender-based violence.

Call for Volunteers!

UN Women USA LA advocates on behalf of UN Women locally throughout the Los Angeles region. We are currently seeking a motivated membership coordinator to work as a liaison between the UN Women USA LA Chapter and its members and to be a part of an inspiring team dedicated to supporting UN Women projects that span 100 countries around the globe! Membership coordinators will be responsible for the following:

• Reports directly to the Director of Human resources and Membership Director.
• Provide chapter and volunteering information to prospective members through periodic newsletters and email correspondences.
• Welcoming members and guests by responding to emails, providing detailed information on how to become a member, a committee member as well as coordinating talent form submissions.
• Engaging and interacting with enthusiasm to coordinate a positive and worthwhile experience.
• Organizing, coordinating, and participating in active membership engagement; street actions, tabling at events, committee participation, etc.
• Develops programs, initiatives to ensure increased positive and engaged membership.

Desired Profile:

Excellent customer service skills, friendly, interested in getting to know new people, decisive, creative person, and can come up with ideas for events, and a team player. Ideal candidates will have specific expertise with Mailchimp, email, google documents, excel, and word.
