Deliver Produce to Senior and Immigrant Families in Little Tokyo

Overview: As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and food insecurity grows for our most vulnerable residents, LTSC has implemented various programs to help residents weather these tough times. One way is with pantry and produce deliveries throughout Little Tokyo and the surrounding community. Volunteers play an integral role by delivering these pantry and produce items each week in a safe and socially distant manner.
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assemble pantry bags that adhere to dietary restrictions and/or religious restrictions
- Deliver Pantry/Produce bags and meals in a socially distant manner
- Must be able to lift upwards of 35 pounds
- Japanese and Spanish fluency a plus, but not required!
- All buildings served are within walking distance from our office, so comfortable clothing is suggested!
- Gloves and hand sanitizer are provided; masks are required at all times
-Pantry/Produce Deliveries will occur Fridays 1:00pm - 3:00pm

LTSC provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services to the Japanese American community in the Greater Los Angeles area, builds multi-family affordable housing projects to uplift low-income neighborhoods of color throughout Los Angeles, and promotes equitable development and cultural preservation in the Little Tokyo neighborhood.
