The LTI- Safe Places Youth Development Afterschool Program works with at-risk youth in the Roslyn Heights community, ages 6-13 years old. Our primary focus is academic enrichment and positive youth development. We are looking for individuals who are looking to make a positive impact in the community. Volunteers will be asked to assist with tutoring in multiple subjects, reading, and activities, all while practicing safe social distancing guidelines.

LTI seeks to Develop leadership skills in children and youth of disadvantaged and minority communities. The agency offers programs in the areas of education, residential care and social development. It directs efforts, energies, and resources toward educational and developmental programming and related research projects for these young people and their families. The Institute also offers programs in areas of Education, Residential Care and Social Development.
Description
Leadership Training Institute (LTI) is a minority led, 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempted and membership corporation staffed organization. Based in Hempstead, New York, the Institute has a 40-year history of educational research and operational programs designed to ameliorate the complex problems of disadvantaged children and families.
