We're excited by the start of our first-ever Virtual 5K, called "Go the Distance to End Trafficking," which will last the entire month of October, and we're looking for volunteers to help us make it a success!

Children, teenagers, men, and women are exploited for sex and labor in our city every day. Funds raised during our 5K will help us fight to end human trafficking in our community and support UAHT programs that identify and connect victims and survivors to crucial services and care.

1) The first, easiest, and most important thing you can do is sign up and participate! Register to run/walk the 5K at https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Houston/GotheDistanceforSurvivors5K (Bonus: Everyone who registers receives a UAHT "Go the Distance" T-shirt!)

2) Become an individual or team fundraiser. Help us make this first run the best run! (When you sign up to run/walk the 5K, you receive your own referral and fundraising link!)

3) Find and contact potential sponsors. (No experience necessary, but enthusiasm is required!)

4) Reach out to race/run teams and organizationsthroughout the country to let them know about our Virtual 5K.
