  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Future 6 presents multiple opportunities throughout the year up and down the coast for community service and event participation from free surf programs for children with disabilities to professional surf events that promote coastal conservation.

Oct 3 & 4 (2020) and again on Oct 24 & 25 (2020) we are hosting a 2 day charity surf event, Eco Pro Surf Series, at either Spessard Holland South or Ponce de Leon Landing. Location will be better defined the week of when we know what a potential swell is doing. We struggle with local event help unloading equipment and set up from approx 7am-8:30am and again from approx 4pm-5:30pm altering the entire day's schedule and completely wearing out the event staff. We simply need some strong arms to help carry tents, tables, chairs, equipment bins, and other event related equipment and help with set up. We need and would love to see local support for a great cause giving such a massive surfing community in South Brevard a voice in coastal conservation efforts. Volunteers are of course welcomed to make a day out of it and get some heavy community service hours, up to 20 for a full weekend. We in fact could use 2 volunteers to help our Contest Director with tabulation and 1 Beach Marshall that works directly with our MC, both areas for a full day.

If you need community service hours, love the beach and surfing, we can really use your help or the help of someone you know that may benefit. Typically the heaviest equipment includes 4-5 tents @ around 50lbs each and a generator @ approx 35lbs. What makes the set up tough is when stairs are involved and/or 30-50 yard hikes carrying equipment in the sand. The more hands on deck the better to eliminate multiple trips back and forth.

We also invite at ZERO cost any local charitable organizations with a 501c3 status or at a minimum under application to set up with us. This provides an opportunity for free to join a local event with 300+ beach patrons to self market your brand, provide info, raise funds and awareness of your charitable cause (private liability insurance required).

If interested and able, please email me directly at Donny@f6helpinghand.org or DM us on Facebook at either @ecoprosurf or @future6official

Mission Statement

Future 6 Helping Hand is a 501(c)(3) charity organization founded in 2012 that provides FREE ocean centric programs for children with special needs. Since our inception, Future 6 has created and hosted hundreds of free events for children with special needs. Our programs provide amazing atmospheres complete with natural confidence building, healthy physical exercise and opportunities for children to participate in programs not typically available in their communities.

Description

Our flagship surf therapy program is directed specifically at children with special needs and is partnered with local coastal and environmental education groups. The program fulfills something different for each individual child based on their mental or physical disability such as social interaction, teamwork, confidence, and in some instances just simply speaking. The program’s purpose is to safely and successfully provide unforgettable experiences for children with special needs and their families. The Future 6 Surf Program runs in Boynton Beach, Florida once per month from April through September plus the addition of 2 road trips to Brevard to serve Central Florida.
