Waymakers is looking for Team Captain Volunteers to help raise funds for our upcoming Way2Go!Orange County Virtual 5K. The Team Captains will build teams of individual fundraisers who are eager to support the work and mission of Waymakers. This is a virtual opportunity, you can work from your home and around your schedule. Waymakers is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization whose programs help individuals make their way through conflict and crisis to a place of strength and stability. Funds raised through our Way2Go!Orange County 5K will help Waymakers shelter children, support victims, counsel families, resolve conflicts and educate our communities. Every year Waymakers touches the lives of over 120,000 individuals in Orange County with the help and support of our community, caring staff and selflessness of our volunteers. To help individuals experiencing conflict and crisis make their way to a place of strength and stability, fostering lasting change and positive impact throughout Orange County by providing shelter for children who are homeless, runaway, abused, or those struggling with mental health issues; support for victims of crime and surviving family members as they learn to cope with the aftermath of all types of crime, and meeting the specialized concerns of domestic violence, sexual assault, homicide, gang violence, and human trafficking victims; counseling for youth who are at-risk of involvement with law enforcement or gangs and their family members; facilitation of conflict resolution for families or community members; education to help community members lead healthier and safer lives.
