In response to Hurricane Laura, the American Red Cross is serving over 8,000 individuals who have sought refuge in North Texas. Healthcare volunteers are needed to serve in over 30 local, non-congregate shelters (hotels) in the DFW area.
Training is provided for the safety of you and the residents during COVID-19. We are asking for a minimum commitment of 1 shift that is 7 hours in duration. The Red Cross has made it easy for you to serve! The application process has been shortened and training condensed so that we can prepare you for service immediately.
Healthcare volunteers must hold a current and unencumbered licensed to serve on our Disaster Health Services teams. (RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, DO, PA, NP, APRN) Students enrolled in medical school can serve under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Volunteer to serve in this Disaster Response Operation by applying today at www.redcross.org/volunteer.
- Questions? Contact us at volunteerntx@redcross.org.
We look forward to welcoming you onto the Red Cross team as we serve those that were hardest hit by this storm!
