Description
Since our inception in 2016, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging has been the foundation of Show and Heal. Everyone we work with, from our team, partners, to educators and youth, represent the beautiful cultural mosaic of our society.
Defeating false truths and eliminating stigmas were the driving forces behind Show and Heal’s first public awareness campaign on YouTube in 2016. Interviews with youth from stereotyped backgrounds were conducted and uploaded.
In the Fall of 2018, Show and Heal evolved into an in-person, after-school program called Self-Care 101. Show and Heal provides a safe space face-to-face and online that allows students to discover that they are more alike than different, can feel good about themselves, build each other up, and focus on promoting love over hate.
For our new Empathy and Empowerment Initiative, we would like to invite, promote, and nurture an eclectic group that includes youth of all life experiences and backgrounds.
