Are you a social work, psychology, or sociology student interested in working with older adults? Do you want to learn more about seniors, terminal illnesses, and hospice care? Our internship opportunity includes office work in a healthcare setting, patient visits in homes, hospitals, and facilities, and shadow days to learn from social workers, spiritual care counselors, message therapists, nurses, music therapists, and other clinical staff! This is a well rounded opportunity for any future clinician eager to learn more about hospice!

*No experience required. Training and supervision provided. All interested volunteers must be over the age of 18 years.

Description

Residential Hospice is our highest level of care and provides expert medical care, pain and symptom management, and support to patients during their end-of-life journeys with a team of hospice and palliative care-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, spiritual care counselors, and volunteers.
