ORGANIZATION: Compassus

We are in need of volunteers interested in visiting hospice patients. In this role, you will provide emotional support and provide respite time for caregivers that need a little break from their everyday routine. This would also include reading to patients, just talking with them and letting them tell you their stories about life. Sometimes they just need someone to tell their story to. Other times, it will be a patient that isn't much for talking but they just need company to sit with them or watch a little TV. This is a great opportunity for a special person with a big heart that just wants to be there for another person in their last months and days. If you are one of those people, this is a great opportunity for you. We will provide with the training you will need to understand hospice and the various scenarios you will be exposed to during your services. We also have administrative opportunities for individuals who want to help out in the office with filing and other tasks. We look forward to hearing from you.
