Help a woman living with ALS preserve her authentic voice

Non-Profit

  • 7 people are interested

If you can edit an audio clip you can help a woman keep her own voice. ALS is a disease that takes away the ability to control your muscles including the muscles you use to speak. Stephen Hawking had ALS and used a computerized voice but now people can use a version of their own voice through voice banking. To do this job you will need to download and install a free software program and use it to trim 300 3 to 5 second segments from several voice recordings. 100% work from home! You will need to use your own personal computer and a program called Audacity which is free. Training will be provided but this opportunity needs someone who is a tech savvy self-starter.

An ideal candidate

Would start ASAP, as soon as 2 days of being selected.Someone who will be able to stay on board if other people living with ALS needing voice banking support is preferred but not required for this opportunity

From Project Re Voice paste this link into your browser to watch Ice Bucket Challenge Founder Pat Quinn hear his own voice for the first time.
