Help our Heroes! We are looking for ambassadors in our emergency department (E.D.) to aid staff in maneuvering our veterans. Looking for someone with great customer service, empathy and kindness to transport our veterans between the E.D. and E.D. Fast Track clinic areas. Provide assistance and customer service in the waiting areas while our patients wait to be seen. Clean the rooms and ready them for the next veteran waiting to be seen.

Description
The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is a Joint Commission-accredited facility serving Veterans in eastern Colorado and parts of Kansas. The VA Medical Center is located in Denver, Colorado and the Community Based Outpatient Clinics are located in: Alamosa, Aurora, Golden, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, La Junta, and Lamar, CO. There are Primary Care Telehealth Outreach Clinics in Burlington and Salida, CO, an ambulatory surgical center at the Air Force Academy, a Community Living Center in Pueblo (40 beds), and along with the Department of Defense and Veteran Benefit Administration, an Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) Center at Fort Carson, CO.
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), part of the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), is home to the United States’ largest integrated health care system consisting of 152 medical centers, nearly 1,400 community-based outpatient clinics, community living centers, Vet Centers and Domiciliaries. - Our E.D. operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can utilize volunteers most heavily between 8 am and 10 pm. Ambassadors are needed off hours as well.
- Ability to pass background check, ability to walk long distances and ability to transport patients.
