The following is a volunteer opportunity that may be performed virtually.
Global AEBD-EmpreSomos is a non-profit social initiative. One of its key objectives is the improvement of enterprising skills, knowledge, and know-how among youngsters and young adults in the countries of the Central American region, notably, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

We are looking for an experienced Grant Writer to help us craft and write coherent, organized, and compelling grant proposals for our philanthropic organization. We expect the Grant Writer will devote a minimum of ten hours/week to grant-related tasks. We are looking for help for three months.
Main Responsibilities
Working with relevant EmpreSomos organizational members, the Grant Writer will,
- Identify grant funding opportunities from relevant fundraising information sources.
- Prepare letters of inquiry.
- Design, conceptualize and write proposals and supporting documents.
Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor's degree in creative or related field.
2+ years of grant experience.
Ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
Proficient with MS tools and/or Google Docs.
Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
Excellent organizational skills.
Spanish speaking a plus.

At the core of our mission is a powerful commitment to tackling four critical challenges that profoundly impact Central American communities: unemployment, underemployment, forced migration, and illicit economic activities. These are barriers that stifle sustainable development and the chance for everyone to thrive.

Online Mentorships: Free access to international mentors in partnership with MicroMentor, providing personalized online guidance for every step of the entrepreneurial journey.
E-Learning & Training: Facilitated access to leading MOOC platforms to enhance technical and interpersonal skills vital for today's business success.
Digital Knowledge Repository: Excellent for sharing research, best practices in entrepreneurship and innovation, and celebrating the region's most innovative entrepreneurs and leaders.
Geolocation and Events: An interactive map of regional support services and resources, along with the promotion of entrepreneurship learning and networking events, designed to inspire and connect our community.
