Hospice patients are more in need of volunteers than ever before. The restrictions due to COVID still can allow for volunteers to visit with some patients, following strict safety procedures. Southland Hospice will provide training for this work along with those things necessary to keep both patient and volunteer safe. The isolation has severely hurt hospice patients. Isolation brings anxiety and depression, both of which are helped by the caring presence of volunteers. Volunteers can play games with, do artwork, music, and most importantly, life review and reminiscing - the telling the stories of their lives.
Come join us at Southland Hospice and be a part of our team of caring professionals - we'd love to have you help us make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
