Hospice patients are more in need of volunteers than ever before. The restrictions due to COVID still can allow for volunteers to visit with some patients, following strict safety procedures. Southland Hospice will provide training for this work along with those things necessary to keep both patient and volunteer safe. The isolation has severely hurt hospice patients. Isolation brings anxiety and depression, both of which are helped by the caring presence of volunteers. Volunteers can play games with, do artwork, music, and most importantly, life review and reminiscing - the telling the stories of their lives. Come join us at Southland Hospice and be a part of our team of caring professionals - we'd love to have you help us make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Southland Hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quality of a person's life through pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support. We believe that the patient and their family are integral decision making members of the Hospice Team for planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations and provides patients the opportunity to complete their lives with dignity and peace.
Southland Hospice delivers quality care by a team of professionals --Physicians, Registered Nurses, Hospice Aides, Medical Social Workers, Spiritual Counselors, and Volunteers - who will provide comprehensive hospice services for our patients and families in the setting where they feel most comfortable.
