Tampa Bay Watch

Volunteer cleaning East Beach

In honor of National Estuaries Week and Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup, we’re recruiting YOU to hit those places in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD where you’ve noticed sadly forgotten or misplaced trash. Your efforts will contribute to the worldwide initiative to combat marine debris, while raising awareness and highlighting the importance of the estuary right here in our own backyard, Tampa Bay! We welcome everyone in the Tampa Bay region to participate, as this will be a DIY "Do it yourself" cleanup between the dates of September 19 - October 17.

Mission Statement

Tampa Bay Watch, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit stewardship program dedicated exclusively to the protection and restoration of the marine and wetland environments of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational programs.

Tampa Bay is the largest estuary in the state encompassing over 4,000 sq miles of open water and 2,300 sq miles of a highly developed watershed serving over 2.4 million people in the bay area. We provide the opportunity to do many different habitat and marine life restoration projects to make the bay cleaner, the birds and wildlife more abundant and the education of the youth and community members more environmentally oriented.
