Virtual Digital Ambassador

Who we are:  

The CARDBoard Project is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose main objective is to bridge the digital gap within the underserved communities of South Dallas. Technology is an essential to all means of living, for many this essential is grossly limited. These limitations actively hinder education, healthcare, and overall economic growth within underserved communities. Here we address this pertinent issue on many levels. Between providing physical access to essential technology, active projects working to eradicate "desert" Wi-Fi zones, working with individuals one on one to connect guests to empowering opportunities and resources, we consistently progress our cause.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for virtual MDC Hotline team members. You would engage with our guests via video conference, assess their needs and connect them to empowering resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Virtual 1:1 outreach with guests impacted by digital division
  • Establish "Digital Footprints" (e.g. email & virtual voicemail)
  • Connect individuals to empowering resources (e.g. employment, education, essentials and more)

Requirements:

  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Office 365 and apps
  • Strong internet navigating experience
  • A typing speed of 35 WPM or above
  • Accurate data entry
  • Calm and even-tempered

Impact:

Establishing a bridge between individuals who do not have access to technology, opportunity or resources Giving people a new sense of possibility amongst the new limiting pandemic circumstances.
