Volunteers help prepare and assemble boxes and bags of canned goods, dry goods, produce and dairy/meat for distribution to families. Volunteers also sort and bag bulk donated produce from grocery stores. May also include breaking down boxes, cleaning, etc.
Volunteers also help with our outdoor food distribution to the public. Volunteers help stock tables with product and assist guests with their grocery items.

08:30 AM to 10:30 AM
This shift is indoors and entails helping pack bags/boxes with produce or dry goods. Volunteers may also help sort donated food items.

10:00 AM to 02:00 PM
This shift help with our outdoor food distribution to the public.

As Sacramento's oldest continuously-serving food bank, our mission is to alleviate hunger in Sacramento County by providing healthy emergency food and other assistance, offering referrals and promoting self-sufficiency through a variety of programs. From seniors to children, from the homeless to the working poor, we assist all struggling individuals and families in Sacramento County.
Description
RCFB distributes a weekly supply of healthy and nutritious food to low-income families throughout Sacramento County, from two distribution sites in Midtown and Arden Arcade five days a week.
