We're looking for people to help staff the DC Food Waste collection station outside of the Mt. Pleasant Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings, 9a-1p.
After receiving training before their first shift, staff will work in pairs and will:
- Set up compost bins with bag liners.
- Track the number of compost drop offs that occur during your shift and report the total to the market manager and compost collector.
- Monitor the items being dropped off to make sure only those which can be composted are added to the bins.
- Answer questions as needed from community members.
- Clean up at the end of the shift.
