Volunteers Needed to Bless Hospice Patients Virtually

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Egan Hospice

  • 9 people are interested

During this difficult time we are looking for volunteers that would be willing to shed some light and love to our hospice patients and their families via making weekly phone calls, and/or mailing cards for special occasions. We are also welcome to having volunteers come in and do administrative tasks that will ultimately help the field staff that are caring for our patients.
Once the threat of Covid is over, we will be looking for volunteers that would be willing to go and visit with our patients for a little companionship and a friendly face.

Mission Statement

It’s all about helping people. As healthcare providers, our mission is to care for the neediest among us. We believe recent events can serve as a clarion call for local, state, and national leaders that they bear responsibility for the same kind of mission. May this mark the moment that our nation hears the voices of those who have been left out.

Description

Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, LHC Group is a leading national provider of in-home healthcare services with 32,000 employees operating in 35 states and the District of Columbia - reaching 60 percent of the U.S. population aged 65 and older. We provide high-quality care to patients through our home health, hospice, home and community based services, and facility-based care.

Our company was founded in 1994 as a single home health agency in small-town America, with a mission to serve the neediest and most vulnerable members of the community. Those values and priorities still form the core of our company culture.

Our focus is on moving our industry forward. We encourage and nurture a culture of innovation, and we are determined to lead our industry and our peers in finding ways to adapt, overcome obstacles, and improve service in a healthcare system that is always changing. We will improve the quality of life in the United States by transforming the delivery of healthcare services.
