Keep your administrative and office skills sharp during covid-19! SGV Habitat needs 2-4 part-time, skilled office volunteers to keep Homeowner Services assisting more families than ever before.
The ideal volunteers have a strong desire to encourage and empower others, create and maintain successful partnerships, and embody the organization’s core values: Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Grace.
If you are a Word, Excel and Powerpoint whiz, you are who we need.
Due to the nature of the work involved, we need a commitment of 24 hours per week for at least three (3) months. This is a fast-paced general office environment. You will need to be comfortable talking to individuals on the phone and in person (though less so with covid-19), and proven general clerical, administrative, and computer skills including online research and data entry.

Mission Statement
Families and individuals in your community in need of a hand up partner with San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Through shelter, we empower. Description
Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Habitat is not a give-away program. In addition to a 1% down payment and monthly mortgage payments, each homeowner family invests 500 hours of their own labor -- sweat-equity -- into the building of their house and the houses of others.
