Distribution volunteers help fill carts to give to clients, help sort returned items, break down boxes, sweep floors and take out the garbage and may include tasks such as bagging diapers or produce, as needed. This is a physical job requiring repeatedly lifting 35-50 lbs., standing, sitting, squatting, lifting, and other quick movements.
*Due to COVID-19, face coverings are required and can be provided to you upon request. All volunteers must wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival the Hopelink volunteer site and are asked to not attend their volunteering opportunity if they are experiencing cold, flu, or any symptoms related to COVID-19. Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.
Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 and over.

Description
Hopelink is the largest private, non-profit, social service agency in north and east King County. Hopelink started in 1971 in Bothell to assist families who had been affected by Boeing lay-offs with job search services. Since then, Hopelink has grown to include six emergency service centers and food banks, and programs in housing, family development, childcare, transportation, and more. In July of 2001, Eastside Literacy became a program of Hopelink, adding Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language services to our programs. Over 2000 Hopelink volunteers help their neighbors work towards lasting change each year.
