The Humane Society of Loudoun County (HSLC) is seeking one volunteer to serve as HSLC's Instagram Coordinator to manage HSLC's Instagram account, engaging both our internal constituents (volunteers and donors) and providing meaningful content and outreach for the general public. The coordinator will post content on HSLC's Instagram account, and we estimate these duties will require approximately 30 hours a month of work. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create or share engaging content.
Publish Instagram posts daily.
Actively manage HSLC's Instagram account.
Work closely with HSLC's Facebook Coordinator to amplify marketing.
Comply with HSLC brand guidelines.
Location: Currently virtual.
Experience with Instagram.
Understanding of basic Instagram trends.
Experience writing, editing, and publishing engaging content.
Analytic skills to analyze the effectiveness of the channel.
Outstanding grammar and style.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Once given direction, ability to take initiative, work independently, and achieve successful results.
Reliability and responsiveness.
Ability and willingness to post daily.
HSLC Orientation or Training (or willingness to complete).
Commitment to volunteer for the next six months.
Computer and mobile phone access.
Passionate for animal welfare.

Based in Loudoun County Virginia, our programs and services include Rescue (Intake), Foster, Adoption, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) / Community Cats, Barn-Working Cats, Pet Pantry, Low Cost Spay / Neuter, Financial Assistance, Media & Public Relations, Youth Education & Programs, Humane Education, Paw Prints Newsletter, General Helpline & Email, Fundraising, Volunteer Management, Social Events, Fundraising Events, and Community Outreach.
In 2019, we supported 134 adoptions, helped 169 community cats, moved 22 working cats, supported 773 spay/neuter surgeries, and delivered 21,475 pounds of Pet Pantry food to Loudoun Hunger Relief. We are looking to surpass these numbers in 2020 through the help of our incredible volunteers.
