The Salvation Army's Good Samaritan Dental Clinic provides emergency dental care for those without or with too little insurance to cover the costs of the procedures and medications they need to get out of dental pain.
We are seeking dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative volunteers willing to provide tooth extractions, and to assist patients with questions and paperwork in order to keep this resource available to the public.
Students interested in attending dental school are also welcome to volunteer (if a student volunteers for 100 hours at the dental clinic, they will be able to request a letter of recommendation for dental school from our clinic coordinators).
Clinics are provided Monday-Thursday at varying times throughout the day. Most clinic shifts are an average of 2-3 hours in length.

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
