ORGANIZATION: CIVIC WORKS

We are looking for 'neighborhood champions' who can help build resilient communities around sharing food and other resources. We are using an app designed to help neighbors coordinate, that a partner has developed for us. Now we need volunteers to reach out to local neighborhood associations to demonstrate it and to use it to cook and share food and resources in your neighborhood!

During this time it is especially important for people to come together, support each other in tangible ways and to build local networks within their communities.

Ideally we are looking for people to work in your local community, including sharing of cooking and food!

We can also use virtual volunteers to demonstrate online how the sharing tool works for communities everywhere.

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
