MISSION

GIRLS ON THE RUN LOS ANGELES- We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Here at GOTRLA, we inspire girls in the 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident by using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.


Activity Description

YOU can join our team of Coaches/Mentors in a transformational program for girls in 3rd-8th grade.

During these challenging times, they need you now more than ever!


Coaching

Join one of our IN-PERSON teams in LA County this Fall from early October-December. Weekday (afternoon/after school hours), it just takes an afternoon a week to build a lifetime of healthy habits.

Encourage and empower our participants to believe there are no limits to what a girl with confidence can achieve.

Have fun while serving as a role model for program participants!


VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Substitute roles are available.

Get to know and understand your co-coaches to serve your team better.

Review, prepare and supervise weekly lessons (curriculum provided by Girls on the Run).

Collaborate with other coaches for successful lesson delivery.


REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 18 years of age.

Complete a GOTRLA Coach application + Background Check

Attend and finish Coach Training.

Girls on the Run Los Angeles is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 200+ locations across the United States and Canada. Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Meeting twice a week in small teams of 8-15 girls, we teach life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The 24-lesson curriculum is taught by certified Girls on the Run coaches and includes three parts: understanding ourselves, valuing relationships and teamwork and understanding how we connect with and shape the world at large.
