Open Door is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a broad focus on building healthier communities. From prevention and wellness programs to the treatment of diseases, Open Door sees our primary mission as keeping the people of Westchester, Putnam, and Ulster Counties healthy and strong, regardless of their ability to pay.
Open Door Family Medical Center, in partnership with Feeding Westchester, provides weekly, shelf-stable and fresh food to 100 households in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Committed volunteer drivers are needed to deliver pre-bagged food from Ossining to Open Door patients who are medically fragile or in quarantine on Tuesday afternoons. All deliveries are curbside and take place between 12-3 p.m. Routes are all within Westchester County and geographically divided among drivers.
This is an ongoing weekly program.
