New Horizons is a local non-profit with the mission to empower at-risk youth in grades K-12th to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith-building. With the help of community volunteers, the students are helped with their homework and mentored on a variety of life skills and growing in faith.
We would love to have you join us! No matter how long you reside in FL over the course of a year, you are welcome. Your commitment is one day a week for 1.5 hours. We understand that schedules change and if you must miss a few tutoring sessions, no problem. Volunteer opportunities are M-Th, 3:30 to 5pm during the school year for our K-5 th graders. New Horizons of SWFL successfully changes the lives of under-resourced K-12 students by providing tutoring, mentoring and character-building programs at its trusted neighborhood clubs. Every day volunteers are making a direct impact in the lives of hundreds of students in our community.
