New Horizons is a local non-profit with the mission to empower at-risk youth in grades K-12th to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith-building. With the help of community volunteers, the students are helped with their homework and mentored on a variety of life skills and growing in faith.

We would love to have you join us! No matter how long you reside in FL over the course of a year, you are welcome. Your commitment is one day a week for 1.5 hours. We understand that schedules change and if you must miss a few tutoring sessions, no problem. Volunteer opportunities are M-Th, 3:30 to 5pm during the school year for our K-5 th graders. Description

New Horizons is a faith-based local nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk students in grades K-12 who are growing up in an environment of poverty, academic failure and hopelessness. New Horizons offers almost 700 at-risk students a range of after school and summer programs in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers. Together with 1,000+ volunteers, New Horizons annually provides over 200,000 hours of after-school tutoring, mentoring and faith-building at no cost to students' families. Through its programs, New Horizons has demonstrated success in improving the graduation rate among at-risk youth in SWFL to 93% from 48% for their at-risk peers.
