Supports to Encourage Low Income Families (SELF)
Is your church or small group seeking a safe, outdoor volunteer opportunity?
SELF is seeking small groups to assist its Neighbors Who Care: Home Repair program. This program serves free home repairs to low-to-moderate-income homeowners in Butler County. Homeowners are typically senior citizens, people with disabilities, or families with young children.
Repair projects include but are not limited to: wheelchair ramp building, handrail installation, painting siding, porch repairs, and yard waste clean-up.
These repairs help one of Butler County's most vulnerable populations maintain their largest asset: their home. Repairs beautify neighborhoods and inspire a chain reaction within the community!
More homeowners are applying for repairs amid the COVID-19 pandemic. SELF is trying to fulfill this need! Volunteers are required to wear masks and social distancing is encouraged.
