This opportunity can be done completely virtually!
The American Red Cross provides a variety of services to active duty military members, veterans, and their families during emergencies. We are currently looking for volunteers who are passionate about providing assistance to our military members by researching and reaching out to organizations and other resources in the community who can assist us in this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn about the community resources available to support the military community
- Coordinate with the community outreach team to find resources in Northern Nevada
- Meet with these resources to learn about their programs and gather details to ensure we can provide referrals to those services
- Routinely check in with community partners to ensure information is up-to-date and correct
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in a public setting
- Comfortable presenting to large and small audiences
- Ability to interact with culturally diverse audiences
- Computer skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint preferred
