Friendly Presence Needed
ORGANIZATION: Elite Hospice (Formerly Hospice of Central Arkansas)
Please visit the new page to apply.

Become a Hospice Volunteer and bring a much-needed friendly presence into a family's challenging circumstances.
Hospice Volunteers do so much more than sitting with a patient as they die -- our volunteers focus more on helping the patients and their families as they live their last months, providing them with support and companionship.
Most of our volunteers sit with patients so their caregivers can run an errand, go to a doctor's appointment, or just get a breather.
Volunteers can chat or do a hobby with the patient, or simply be there in case anything is needed.
Volunteers set their own schedule; most volunteer for 2-4 hours per week (but this is flexible).
Comprehensive training is provided prior to volunteers going to patients' homes. The training includes infection control protocol to help our volunteers & our patients stay safe during the pandemic.
