The need to maintain our nation's blood supply continues through the Coronavirus pandemic. At the Red Cross, the health and safety of our blood donors, clients, and volunteers is our number one priority. We also want to provide terrific customer service to the people who are generous enough to share their blood to save lives. That's where YOU come in! You can help us maintain a safe and welcoming environment as a volunteer Blood Donor Ambassador. No prior experience or medical experience is needed, as we will provide the training you need, and we will also provide the supplies you need on the job.

What will you do as a Blood Donor Ambassador? You will:
-Take the temperature of all arriving donors.
-Welcome all donors and make them feel appreciated.
-Ensure the donor is wearing a face mask, and/or provide one for them to wear.
-Offer the use of hand sanitizer before and after the donor enters the room where blood is collected.
-Help the donor get checked in for their appointment.
-Make sure they have completed their health questionnaire.
-Encourage donors to have a replenishing snack after they give blood.
-Thank them, thank them, thank them!

If you love people this is a great volunteer role for you. If you want to do something to help your home town get through the COVID crisis, this is a great role for you.
