Legacy Program volunteers record either a patient’s life story or help with writing legacy letters. This is typically done by using a handheld digital recorder. Length of assignment varies from patient to patient.
Once stories and/or letters are recorded, volunteers may transcribe; other times only the audio is desired. We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in either role. Excellent listening and computer skills needed.

Description
When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
