We are looking for talented web wizards to facilitate and maintain the back end infrastructure of the App for our nonprofit, "Sponsor Humanity, Inc."
The concept for Sponsor Humanity was inspired by the impact of COVID-19. Our vision is to create an innovative interface that will directly connect people to request and offer resources in order to meet the basic needs of food and utility bills in this time when so many have lost their income due to the covid19 crisis (and in general as the distribution of wealth in the U.S. leaves so many people feeling marginalized and without access to the resources they need).
It differs from mutual aid and "Next Door" networks in two ways:
1) This platform will be cutting-edge, current, and fresh, while also fun and easy to use. This interface will directly connect people; they can create a profile as a sponsor or recipient, and choose who they connect with.
2) There will be an option for "energy exchange" in which people can offer a service, craft, etc. in exchange for their support. This reflects and nurtures a paradigm shift in which people can offer something other than money to meet their basic needs in times of financial instability.
In addition to the platform described above, there is a broader vision for Sponsor Humanity, Inc. to support other similar endeavors to innovatively connect human beings for the purpose of co-creating a better world; a world whose values reflect compassion, kindness, and generosity, as well as sharing our gifts, be they financial or otherwise.

Description
"Sponsor a Family, Sponsor Humanity"
There are 3 Phases to our Vision:
Phase 1. Sponsor Humanity Mobile App: this platform will provide an immediate network of support for direct, emergency assistance with grocery and utility bills for folks in need.
Initially, our app will function with the agreement to "Pay It Forward." People can request emergency assistance in the form of an e-gift card to buy groceries at their nearest grocery store.
Participants with resources may purchase and provide these e-gift cards with the understanding that their generosity will be "paid forward" through spontaneous acts of kindness in the daily life of the recipient.
***There is a long-term vision to facilitate payment of utility bills as well; we are researching the most effective way to do this.***
Once the app has been established, we will add an option for "energy exchange" in which people can offer a service, craft, etc. in exchange for their support.

Phase 3.
