Still want to help lead the fight against hunger but not ready to volunteer in person yet? Join our first ever Mission Ambassador team! Volunteers can work virtually from home to spread awareness of Gleaners' efforts in our community, share important news and updates regarding food insecurity in our community, and get your family and friends involved in leading the fight against hunger.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we've seen an incredible increase in the number of families coming to us for help, many of whom have never needed this type of assistance before. We need your help, now more than ever, to spread awareness of and ensure that every Hoosier experiencing food insecurity now and in the future knows about everything that Gleaners has to offer.

What will I be doing?

• Build awareness of Gleaners' mission in our community

• Attend recruitment fairs, special events, and speaking engagements (virtual and in-person)

• Be a representative and advocate for Gleaners?

Sounds easy, right? But, do I have time?

Just commit to:

• Share content posted by Gleaners 2-3 times per month

• Create and share your own content 2-3 times per month

• Attend one ore more virtual or in-person events annually

Who can be a Mission Ambassador?
Anyone! This position is designed to fit a variety of volunteers. Volunteers can choose to participate 100% virtually, virtually and in-person, or exclusively in person if you're not interested in using social media.
*Gleaners can only use virtual volunteers at the moment, but we will have lots of in-person opportunities as soon as we're able.

Once you let us know you're interested, we'll send you a Mission Ambassador Toolkit with info on how to get started, content ideas, and photos, videos, and statistics you can start sharing. We'll send an email each month with new content ideas, news and upcoming events, and more to keep you in the loop.
