We are looking for 2-3 people who can help us with our fundraising goals for 2020.

We are a new program, fiscally sponsored by the Social Good Fund, that serves youth and children in San Francisco, who live in disenfranchised neighborhoods with opportunities in the arts, sciences and the outdoors.

Our mission is to create access and opportunities for youth who live in San Francisco, to explore what's possible for themselves and their lives, that motivate and empower them to create a life of their choosing. We do this by leading trips into places and spaces historically not available to them in the arts, sciences and the outdoors.

We are asking that you:

  • 1 year experience
  • Manage the writing of up to 5 proposals/LOI
  • Produce concise, moving documents that are ready to be submitted to donors
  • Offer independent thought about approach to funding
  • Keep organized records of your work
  • Have a bi-weekly call with Fund Development Director to discuss progress and needs

Skills:

  • Clear and concise writing ability and verbal communication
  • Ability to analyze and determine fit with organizations mission
  • Interest in working in a start-up environment
  • Experience with and willingness to work remotely
  • Ability to hear beyond the noise - clarity of thought

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to show youth and children who they are beyond their neighborhoods. We do this be leading experiential trips in to the arts, sciences and the outdoors.

Description

Weekend-Adventures is a fiscally sponsor program of the Social Good Fund since 2018. We serve youth and children in grades 3rd through 12th. Our program is unique as we are not stationary. Our program is designed to take youth out of the neighborhood and into places and spaces that have historically been unavailable to them.

We lead 4 ten-week programs for up to 30 youth per year. We explore the arts, sciences and the outdoors. We offer our program free of charge to families as we understand the complexities of living in poverty. More than 90% of our family's receive some form of government assistance and or free or reduce cost lunch at school.

Our families are loving people, filled with all the hopes and dreams for their children as every parent has. It is a pleasure working with and serving them.
