Like a good party? Enjoy making an event run smoothly? Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation is looking for Event Volunteers in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area for "Party Under the Stars", which be held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the Sailor Circus Arena in Sarasota. This is an annual, signature fundraising event with proceeds providing non-medical financial support to cancer patients.

Event Date: Saturday, February 24, 2024

Event Time: 5:00-10:00pm

Event Location: Sailor Circus Arena, 2075 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota FL 34239 (Next to Sarasota High School)

VOLUNTEER ARRIVAL & TRAINING:

• Arrival time 4:30pm
• Parking - You can park in the farthest row from the entrance in the parking lot of Sarasota High School
• Event training will be from 4:45-5:10pm
• Volunteers in place by 5:15pm

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Upon arrival, volunteers will be assigned responsibilities for the evening. It is important to be flexible, as your roles may change throughout the evening!

Ex: Greeting and directing guests; registration; selling raffle tickets; overseeing the silent auction area; VIP table drawing; live auction spotters; silent auction closing; distributing guest thank you gifts; and event breakdown!


VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS:

• Attire will be black pants and shirt with close-toed shoes.
• NO alcohol during the event.
• Dinner will be provided during the event, and volunteers will be able to take breaks throughout the evening as needed in a designated room.
