We are an all-volunteer board made up of individuals from our community dedicated to making an impact in our community. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with grant research and submission.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Seek grants pertaining to CGI’s mission of caring for children in the dependency system and add them to our list of applicable grants with contact information, deadlines, next steps, etc.
- Report to a Fundraising Committee member on deadlines and requirements to apply for grants that pertain to our mission.
- Work with board members to apply for grants that pertain to CGI’s mission
- Help educate/train a fundraising committee member on techniques to find, apply for, and obtain grants

Mission Statement
Our mission is to help abused, neglected, or abandoned children through its direct funding of children’s needs, and through support of organizations serving these children in the Florida counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton.
Description
Child Guardians, Inc. (CGI) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. CGI directly assists abused, neglected, and abandoned children in our local community. We contribute 99% of our total budget directly to children. We directly provide over $25,000 to more than 150 children annually through our Brandon Fund. We accomplish this through fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and local supporters. As an organization, we hope to bring a shred of normalcy into the lives of children in the foster care system.
