The South Shore Elder Services Meals on Wheels Program is committed to providing nutritious meals to homebound elders. The program delivers over 1,200 nutritious meals to homebound elders each week (Mondays - Fridays). The MOW program has volunteer openings in Randolph and Quincy.
Current volunteer opportunities include:
Meals on Wheels drivers- Volunteers are needed for 1 to 5 days a week, midmornings, 1-2 hours a day. A valid MA driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Initial training is required, with additional enrichment opportunities offered. Mileage reimbursement is available. Opportunities available in Randolph, Quincy, Braintree, Milton and Weymouth.
Meals on Wheels Kitchen Assistant: Kitchen assistants needed in Houghs Neck (Quincy) 1 to 5 days a week to help to bag lunches and count out meals for pick-up by Meals on Wheels drivers at the local meal site. Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hours on weekday mornings from 8am - 10am. [temporarily on hold)

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
