Experience our Music Docent training classes for FREE & have fun becoming a music volunteer in a child’s classroom!
FREE TRAINING IN PERSON AND VIA ZOOM - Only 11 sessions
September 18 - November 6, 2023
Due to the increased demand this year, we are offering Monday morning & some Monday evening classes, in addition to 4 online zoom classes on Wednesdays. Trainees can choose to attend either Monday morning or Monday evening.
Monday mornings (9:15-11:45am) at Corpus Christi Church Hall, 37891 Second Street, Fremont, CA 94536 OR
Monday evenings (7-9:15pm) at UCC Fremont, 38255 Blacow Rd, Fremont, CA 94536 AND
Wednesday evenings (7-9:15pm)via Zoom for the first 4 Wednesdays
ORIENTATION - September 13 @ 9:30-11am at Corpus Christi Church Hall, Fremont

Description
Music for Minors II (MFMII) is a nonprofit music enrichment organization serving local schools since 1988 by recruiting and training community volunteers to become music docents sharing singing, dance, rhythm instruments, and music appreciation with children and classroom teachers. MFMII also sponsors community concerts with guest recording artists and also showcases its students in annual community concerts.

- Orientation or Training
- 2.5 hours per session during training (11 sessions); 1 hour per week after training.
- After training, docents will teach at least one music class for 1/2 hour per week, in an elementary school that wants music. Schools may be in Fremont, Newark, Milpitas or other locations, as needed.
