WHO WE ARE:
Girl Scouts of Suffolk County is the largest youth serving agency on Long Island, serving more than 30,000 girls, building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Our youth serving agency operates two beautiful camps in Bayport and Yaphank New York, as well as offering over 100 programs, enriching the girls in our community. Join our team, earn a competitive salary while empowering today’s youth.
Girl Scouts of Suffolk County is seeking the perfect volunteer to support our Product Sales Department. The Product Sales Volunteer helps fellow GSSC volunteers with their product sales needs and inquiries. They also work alongside the Product Sales staff to assure that all product transactions are done quickly and efficiently and assures that information is correctly and consistently relayed to our members. These volunteers may assist at cupboards in distributing product, engage troop leaders in phone conversations to answer questions, and assist staff and volunteers and product trainings.

Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
