Do you want to join the fight against hunger? Amid COVID 19 crisis food emergency needs have sky rocketed. We are handing out over 300 meals every week.
Come on down to the Kennedy Center in Harlem. We are looking for 4-5 friendly volunteers to help us with food distribution and stocking our shelves.
Schedule: Tuesdays, 9-12pm
Group size: 1-5 volunteers
Location: 34 W 134th St, New York, NY 10037
What you will do:
- Help with setup
- Stock and organize fresh food on our shelves.
- Bag food for our clients and friends waiting in our sanitized pick up zones.
- Smile and have fun!
- The Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Memorial Center is one of New York City’s most vibrant treasures, located in the heart of Harlem. Managed and operated by Catholic Charities Community Services since 1954, Kennedy Center is a resource center for the community. Our goal is to provide help for individuals and families in need, and create hope.
COVID 19 policy - Upon arrival please wear a face mask. All staff members will wear a face covering and we are asking the public to arrive with one as well. TIP- You can bring a second mask to change into.
- Please use all hand sanitizing stations frequently.
