Majiji is looking for volunteer board members for the Rural youth program in Kenya. Our Mission is to Equip Aspiring high school students with tools for success for innovative business creation and practical job skills.
With youth unemployment in Kenya estimated to be over 35% and over 800,000 youth entering the labor market each year, addressing youth unemployment will require creative investment and commitment form all sectors including the Goverment non profit organizations and other stakeholders.
Our goal is to work with rural high school in Kenya and introducing an entrepreneurship program in high school for the rural youth with a vision to eradicate youth and rural poverty cycle.
As a board member, you will work directly with the board Chair and the Board of Directors in the US in partnership with the board in Kenya partner organization to Lead, guide, help implement, and oversee all project activities to ensure our projects are administered in a manner that supports our mission.
The time commitment is around 5 to 8 hours a term (3 months) for planning and curriculum development.
