HomeAgain VR is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven community that offers human connection through shared virtual experiences. Our platform allows participants and volunteers to chat with one another while exploring the world, visiting museums, seeing wildlife, and more. We are a channel for uplifting and positive social interactions, which we believe can improve the health, wisdom, and happiness of people everywhere. Accessibility and inclusiveness are at the core of our mission, and we strive to make our program easy to use for people of all ages, languages, income levels, and physical abilities. Many of our current customers are residents of assisted living communities.
We need help with translating several of our virtual tour scripts into Japanese. We currently have two volunteers working on them, but we add new tours every week and the demand for translations is increasing as we work to expand our program.
If you are someone who is interested in translating English scripts into Japanese, please let us know. Your work will help us provide virtual companionship to Japanese-speaking individuals, and through your volunteering you will likely learn interesting fun facts about history, wildlife, and locations around the world!

Mission Statement
Acquaint provides a platform which enables volunteers from around the world to grow and learn through human connections.
Description
Acquaint is a nonprofit peacebuilding organization that works to heal divisions and prevent conflict. Enthusiastic volunteers from over countries connect on our website for one-on-one conversations to share culture and perspectives.
Interactions on Acquaint are made easier and more fun by a series of virtual icebreakers. By listening and sharing with one another, we work to build peace and global solidarity. This is "cultural networking" and it has the power to gradually erode barriers of prejudice and misunderstanding that divide humanity.
Each week, volunteers enter their availability on the platform and are paired for sessions based on their time. Pairings are random. Volunteers could end up talking to someone right down the street or on the other side of the world. Either way, there is much they can learn from each other!
